Hello,

We would like all GSP's that have the ability to host Minecraft servers to please contact us with pricing. As it seems no body is currently renting these out.

Thanks,
GSH.

CuBOS Gaming shutting down

CuBOS Gaming wrote:

No Longer Hosting Game Servers
18 Oct 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the shutdown of our game hosting services.

All existing servers will close on the 31st October at midnight AEST; we will however continue to provide voice servers.

We thank the customers and communities who supported us during the past few years - happy fragging!

This is a sad moment in Australian GSP's, CuBOS have been around for years and are coming to a close. However they will still rent out Voice servers.

Thanks,
GSH

#79 Re: Announcements » Backend rewrite » 05/08/2010 10:39 AM

G'day,

After I myself not being happy with some of the backend I decided to rewrite the whole lot again, it's been rewritten in conjunction with MySQLi (with stored procedures) and Object-Oriented PHP.

Although this doesn't change the front end layout of the website but over the coming months the site will receive a new coat of paint.

Thank you.

Thanks for that, you should create a screen so when you leave shell telnet the server continues to run without being logged. Otherwise it looks really good, thanks for posting this up!

games.on.net wrote:

Call of Duty community manager Rob Bowling, also known as 'fourzerotwo', has confirmed in a podcast that the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will not support user-created mods. Worse, it will not support dedicated servers. PC gamers will have to suffer peer-to-peer connections, just like their console-owning cousins.

Mr. Bowling could offer no defence for this move, and simply stated that: "The team's focusing on having it very equal on every platform" and "We're doing a lot of work on the back end."

Previous PC versions of CoD have supported dedicated servers. Their absence will apparently make the game "much more accessible to the PC community as a whole."

You can listen to the podcast here; skip forward to around the 1:41 mark for the awful truth...
