Half Life 2 based games

Linux based

Must be connected via Shell/SSH

Run this command from the srcds dir

./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir .

If you want to update a Half-Life 2 Deathmatch server, use "hl2mp" for the game switch. (Please note this can take a very long time)

Windows based

Must be connected via Shell/SSH

Run this command from the srcds dir

hldsupdatetool -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir C:\srcds

If you want to update a Half-Life 2 Deathmatch server, use "hl2mp" for the game switch. (Please note this can take a very long time)

PunkBuster(manually)

Grab the latest copy of the Punkbuster server file from here. http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=support.php

Upload them via FTP to your server

/game/pb/htm/**here**/

Then you must exec this command via ingame console or your favorite rcon

pb_sv_restart
